I’m a playwright living in Leixlip, Co. Kildare, Ireland. I have been involved in amateur theatre for over forty years as both actor and director and completed a course in “Directing for the Theatre” at Maynooth University in 2018.
In 2014, I began writing short plays, many of which have been performed at various short play festivals around the world; Hollywood, Sydney, Dubai, Manilla, Canberra and Essex.
Between 2020 and 2022, I was a co-writer, along with Martina Murphy, Claire Reilly and Brendan Farrell of “Fractured, a family, a nation, a dream”, a fictional drama series set in North Kildare during the War of Independence. Fractured was subsequently produced as an audio drama serial by Down at Heel Productions and released as a podcast.
I was delighted to have my play “There’s Always Tomorrow” performed by Barnstorm Theatre Company, Kilkenny in August 2023 as part of the Kilkenny Arts Festival.
